My current workshop offerings are below, but please don’t hesitate to reach out so we can collaborate on a custom experience.
Finding Your Purpose In Your Company’s Mission
Most of us are familiar with the mission, values, and goals of our organization, but what about our personal mission, values, and goals? By defining these things for ourselves, we can create a sense of focus, self worth, and drive that will keep us intrinsically motivated, help us prevent burnout, and make us productive with purpose.
Driving Organizational Change Using Diverse Communication Strategies
Studies have shown that the primary reason organizational change initiatives fail is because of poor communication. In this workshop, we explore the struggles of change management, how to use a diverse and inclusive communication strategy throughout the change management process, and tools any employee at any level can use to initiate and manage positive organizational change.
Developing A Coaching Mindset Using Positive Communication Techniques
Communication is the most important tool we have, and yet we've all been in a situation where communication channels have broken down, meaning has been misunderstood, and people haven't taken our brilliant advice, no matter how many times we've tried to help. Through asking the right questions, practicing active listening, getting comfortable with silence, and empowering others to take action rather than directing them, anyone can use coaching tools and positive communication techniques to help others be more effective and reach their goals.
How To Create A Psychologically Safe Work Environment
A 2-year study by Google's People Operations team found that psychological safety—the belief that one will not be punished or humiliated for speaking up with ideas, questions, concerns, or mistakes—is the most important dynamic of a successful team. But what does it mean to have a psychologically safe work environment and how do we cultivate a culture where people feel empowered to ask questions, give feedback, and (truly) make mistakes? In this workshop we explore the concept of psychological safety, the research around why it makes teams so successful, and actions you can take to create a psychologically safe environment on your teams, no matter your role.
Building An Inclusive Company Culture From The Ground Up
Most people agree that a company's culture must grow and develop organically rather than be dictated, however we often look to the highest level of leadership to define and influence our company culture. While leadership buy-in is essential, the steward of any company culture needs to look to all levels for input and ideas, recognize and encourage budding leaders, and forge connections between individuals and teams across departments and pay grades. Building a company culture from the ground up creates an authentic, progressive, and inclusive culture in which everyone is a stakeholder.
Communication & Collaboration Teambuilding Workshop
Effective communication on teams is vital not only for business, but for employee happiness. In this workshop attendees define their personal communication styles, examine misconceptions they have about the communication tactics of others, and learn how to use confident vulnerability, empathy, and problem-solving skills to eliminate communication breakdowns on their team.
Increasing Your Emotional Intelligence
Emotional intelligence is someone’s ability to perceive, understand, and manage their own feelings and emotions and includes self-awareness, self-regulation, intrinsic motivation, empathy, and social skills. It is linked to higher job satisfaction and improved job performance, and it has become a vital skill for the modern workplace. Luckily, it can be both learned by those who lack it and improved by those who already have it. In this workshop, we explore the different areas of emotional intelligence and learn exercises and tools we can use to increase it.
Defeating Impostor Syndrome
Impostor Syndrome is a psychological pattern that causes a person to doubt their accomplishments and instills in them a persistent fear of being exposed as a fraud or discovered as an impostor despite evidence to the contrary. In this workshop, we explore the concept of impostor syndrome, identify the root of our impostor feelings, uncover limiting behaviors and thought patterns our brains have put in place to protect us from the fear of being "found out", and identify action items we can use to reframe our thinking so we can move forward less burdened by our impostor feelings.
Get Assertive
From persuading others to standing our ground to closing deals, a positive assertiveness practice is a valuable tool to have—and yet, many of us waver between passiveness and aggressiveness without a sense of balance. In this workshop, we discuss the difference between assertiveness and aggressiveness, examine thinking and behavior patterns that keep us from asserting ourselves, learn how to say no and define what we want, and discover techniques we can use to get assertive in an overwhelming world.
